Pediatric Advanced Life Support (American Heart Association)
As a pediatric healthcare professional, you and your team need to be prepared to recognize and intervene when patients have respiratory emergencies. This course will teach you how to be prepared for this scenario and others like it using team dynamics as well as high-quality individual life-saving skills. After completing this course, you will be confident to competently apply a multitude of life-saving methods in your field, increasing your team’s ability to treat and save patients’ lives.
- The PALS Provider Course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to rapidly recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high‐performance team dynamics and high‐quality individual skills.
- The course includes a series of case scenario practices and real-world drills with simulations that reinforce the most important concepts and techniques.
- At the course’s conclusion, including the successful completion of all the patient cases, students must pass a multiple-choice exam on all topics learned with a minimum score of 84%.
- After the completing this course and exam, Flying Aces is confident that all students will be able to competently and effectively do all of the following:
- Perform high‐quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) per American Heart Association (AHA) basic life support (BLS) recommendations.
- Differentiate between patients who do and and patients who do not require immediate intervention.
- Recognize cardiopulmonary arrest early and begin CPR within 10 seconds.
- Utilize team-led concepts, fostering collaboration in a dynamic environment. ○ Differentiate between respiratory distress and respiratory failure.
- Perform early interventions for respiratory distress and failure.
- Differentiate between compensated and decompensated (hypotensive) shock.
- Recognize and perform early interventions for the treatment of shock.
- Differentiate between unstable and stable patients with arrhythmias.
- Describe clinical characteristics of instability in patients with arrhythmias.
- Implement post–cardiac arrest management

Advanced Life Support (American Heart Association)
As a healthcare professional or emergency response personnel, you may direct or participate in the management of a cardiovascular emergency and your communication and action is paramount in saving lives. This course will cover how to be a member or leader of a resuscitation team and how to identify and respond to emergencies. With these skills and techniques, you will be confident and prepared to perform advanced life support and help mitigate fatal tragedies at your organization.
- This course has been created for healthcare professionals and emergency response personnel who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies.
- If faced with a medical emergency, action and communication is paramount. Flying Aces will teach you effective communication as a member and/or leader of a resuscitation team and how to rapidly identify and respond to cardiovascular emergencies.
- The course covers basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED.
- Successful completion of the course will entail recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest, airway management, related pharmacology, management of ACS and stroke, ensuring our students are more confident at life-saving techniques.

Heartsaver CPR Basic And Refresher (American Heart Association)
A heart emergency can happen at home, work or a public place and require bystanders to act in order to help and potentially save a person’s life. In this situation, are you ready and prepared to give CPR? With this course, you will learn how to recognize a heart emergency and identify the appropriate life-saving techniques that will yield positive results. You will leave the class with the confidence to perform CPR and utilize an AED, and if an emergency happens, you will have the ability to help save a life.
- The Heartsaver CPR AED course trains participants to give CPR, and effectively use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe and timely manner.
- Students will learn how to recognize a heart emergency and identify the appropriate life-saving techniques to use that will yield positive results.
- This course reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
- The AHA Heartsaver CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet their job, regulatory, or other requirements.

Basic First Aid (American Heart Association)
Everyone has the possibility of encountering an emergency situation or being present when an emergency event happens. It could be at school, work, or any public event. There is always a need for someone to take action and assist others rather than be a helpless bystander. In this course, you will learn about the most common first aid emergencies and how to perform life saving skills, so that when an event occurs you will be prepared with the confidence to help. If needed as a job requirement, students will receive upon completion of the course, a first aid card.
- The Heartsaver First Aid course trains participants first aid basics for the most common first aid emergencies.
- Students will learn how to recognize a first aid emergency, how to call for help by activating the 911 system and how to perform life saving skills.
- This course reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) and the 2015 AHA/Red Cross Guidelines for First Aid.
- The AHA Heartsaver First Aid Course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training. Upon completion of the course, students will receive their first aid card which will satisfy any first aid-job requirement.
